Spring 2017 Parenting Classes
"Managing Emotional Mayhem"
Presented by Vicki Price, CAPS Education Director

6-Week Parenting Class — Monday Evenings
March 27, April 3, 10, 17, 24, and May 1 — 6:00-8:00 PM
This class is based on the parenting program by
Becky Bailey.  The way adults handle emotional
upset when children are throwing fits,
back-talking, name-calling, being defiant and
withdrawing will  either aid or reduce their ability
to develop self-regulation. Two decades of
research tells us that self-regulation is a better
predictor of academic  success than IQ scores or
entry-level reading and math skills.
